Everything is very easy right now. So I work for BNZ and I did lending with them. My husband works in construction. We've owned this property for I think about four or five years now. Before we figured out about Rent Shop, we were managing it ourselves. So I managed the property for I think a period of six to eight months to get an understanding of what are the dos and don'ts for an owner.

Because I work for the bank and I know how important communication is. I wanted somebody who was going to communicate with me the entire journey of us being the landlord. So whether it was someone not paying their rent on time, whether it was something's broken down in the house that needs to be fixed, I needed everything to be communicated to me as quick as they could. So in the beginning, it was, it was a little tricky. So the experience that we had with the tenants that were at the property was terrible. And then Katie took over. She actually called me to tell me that the property is not left in a good condition. We need to do a few things that's going to cost you all of this, but because you've got us, we're going to go to court and and do it that way.

So, we had all of that to deal with. Katie made it so easy for us. She did all the running around, the documents and stuff like that. She did everything. All I had to give her was the communications that I had on email because I ensured everything was communicated with the tenant. And I was pregnant at the time. So, it was, it was a lot more difficult um than I thought.

I think everything, everything is very easy right now with Katie being the property manager. If anything happens, she'll just email me or she'll just message me. And so, I rely on Katie for all the expert advice and and to date, she's been on point. I'm not in this category of landlords that's crying, but I'm rather in the category of landlords that are happy.

If anyone is looking for a property management company that's prompt, quick, efficient, professional, they should come to The Rent Shop because communication is very clear. Uh, they don't waste time. There is nothing I can fault them on. We've only had great experiences. If it's something that people just want to give it away to a property manager and not worry about that property and ensure that the rent is just paid to you on time, then Rent Shop is the place. You get phone calls anytime during the day or at night. People need help or something goes wrong or they need clarification on something like that. So, we needed somebody who could do all that without we getting harassed every day.

Hi, Priya and Ranja. Uh, we live here in Auckland and busy parents, busy work lives, and we own an investment property in Christchurch. Priya is an accountant, so she's always looking at the number side of things and I'm in the property development market, so I've got quite good experience in there.

They do all end to end service. So, they find the tenants for us. They uh manage the tenants and any maintenance or any issues like that. There hasn't been any issues uh in communication wise. They also manage the rents. So we don't have to get involved in the bonds and meeting the requirements of rentals, late payments or anything like that. So it works.

It works both ways. I think initially you think you paying a service fee, but that service fee is worth it. You'd rather spend the time doing your own work or spend time with the family. We like travelling so we away. We don't want to know um if there's a problem, we want to know if things are sorted out.

Now I don't have any hesitation recommending Rent Shop to anyone. Yeah, definitely hassle-free and, you know, perfectly comfortable with them.

I've been a rental property owner uh for a number of years. Uh, I'm also an accountant myself by trade uh and work with a number of clients who choose rental properties as a way to invest their money uh for passive income. Your property manager is dealing with one of your biggest assets. So, it's really important that you identify a property manager that has strong processes, strong controls for handling your money, great reporting systems, and is a reputable brand.

I was with a previous property manager who I actually bought the property from prior to moving to The Rent Shop, and I have been very happy with their service and I have since moved my other properties to The Rent Shop.

I think a lot of landlords tend to think that it's going to be more expensive if they're going from self-management to using a property manager. My name is Chandu Patel. I've been with The Rent Shop for two years. I came to The Rent Shop because I had problems with property managers incorporated with the real estate agencies. They did not support me in any sort of way. Communication was bad. Rent appraisals never came out and I thought tenants they were providing weren't really helping the cause.
