Chris started his career as a structural draughtsman, which lead to the design and build of his first home. This was an extremely successful and enjoyable project that became the start of a property investment journey that continues today.
After several build and flip projects growing a rental property portfolio was the obvious direction. Chris has been growing a strong portfolio over the last 25 years with a strong focus on being cashflow positive and a firm belief that once you buy you keep it forever.
During this time, he has also continued to buy and flip properties giving him years of investing experience through several market cycles as well as renovation and project management and enjoys coaching investors to grow strong property portfolios also.
Chris believes to be a successful property investor you need a great team, and you should let each of them do their job for you, especially property management. After having The Rent Shop manage his portfolio for the past ten years, he was impressed enough to join the team, and is looking forward to bringing an investors view and the new challenge of caring for investors and their properties.

After being involved as a builder from the age of 18, Mike decided it was time to take control. From a young man at the age of 24 he started to build a property portfolio to secure his future legacy.
18years later Mike attended a property investing seminar and this was the change for him in the business. What he learned over the next five years about property investing gave him the confidence and skills not only to build on his property portfolio, but share the wealth of knowledge with others -sharing his knowledge and skills with new property investors all wanting to secure their financial future. As a coach this has been his most rewarding experience of his life, building on a property portfolio far beyond his wildest dreams

Having relocated to Auckland in 2019 to start a fresh chapter with his Kiwi wife who hails from tiny Great Barrier Island, this enthusiastic, bright eyed South African set his sights on developing a career in property management. Nick has a specific interest on the compliance aspects to the job especially the new Healthy Homes Standards. His ability to interact with tenants, landlords and fellow colleagues has allowed him to make the most of his role as the relief/junior property manager and learn the ropes from the bottom up.
Previously, Nick studied a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Management and soon after decided to embark on a completely different route. For six years he worked in the super yachting industry for some of the worlds most accomplished individuals. This adventure allowed him to develop his skills and travel extensively throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean and US.
Since settling in Auckland, Nick now looks to focus more on his career and personal interests which include making plenty of appearances on the golf course and cricket field.
After several years successfully selling Real Estate from a young age, Sean decided to make the change into Property Management. Armed with two degrees including a Bachelor of Property from Auckland University, Sean has a vast range of knowledge and experience in the property industry having worked in it for over ten years.
With boundless enthusiasm and excellent communication skills, Sean brings a sense of passion to the role of Regional Manager at The Rent Shop. Sean is always willing to go that extra mile to ensure a successful outcome. He enjoys building new customer relationships as well as nurturing existing ones.

A professional and dedicated Manager, Sharon Bradley has a passion for Property Management and understands the rental market well. Joining the industry 15 years ago, she brings a deep and credible knowledge of property, competent in the management of all aspects of residential property no matter how big or small, she is fully conversant with mediation and tribunal procedures, exceptionally focused and results driven, Sharon and the team continue to exceed client expectations at all levels. She has a great understanding of people, it’s important to understand that to achieve great results, you need to foster a culture of continuous improvement — one where everyone, herself included, has access to the tools and support needed to enhance their performance. Before joining the industry, Sharon worked a General Manager in the Finance Industry. Katie started with the Rent Shop Dunedin in February 2020,she has a strong & varied customer service background and really enjoys working with people and building strong relationships.
Katie has a background as a Beauty therapist working in high end beauty clinics in Brisbane but decided on a change of pace when returning to New Zealand in 2017 and was working at a busy sports, events and and functions centre as a receptionist and marketing co-coordinator before joining The Rent Shop team.

Nina has over 15 years customer service experience over a range of industries.; including 9 years ago moving from Christchurch to Auckland to expand her knowledge and experience in hotels in a range of roles.These roles included Building, Property and Hotel management and more recently managing a large Auckland CBD long term residential hostel. After taking time to raise a family, Nina has joined the team at The Rent Shop as a Property Manager. Paul was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to New Zealand in the mid 90s. He has completed his Diploma in Marketing in 2000 and a Bachelor of Business major in Valuation and Property Management in 2015. In the past 10 years he has been working diligently in the retail and property industries. Paul can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
In his leisure time, Paul enjoys jogging, spending time with his kids and playing pinball machines.

Terry joined The Rent Shop in 2019 as a Property Manager based in the city office.
He has an extensive background in customer service roles, including several years in Property Management, alongside varying sales and managerial roles.
This means that Terry has an in-depth understanding, and a wealth of knowledge pertaining to owning a property and managing the client relationship. Terry is solutions orientated and enjoys building relationships with owners and tenants,always working to do his best to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Outside of work, Terry enjoys getting out on his motorcycle, spontaneous trips to Waiheke (mainly to visit the wineries), camping and putting in some hard work in the garden.
Yao Hou is a motivated, customer oriented individual who is passionate in delivering property management service at his best. Yao is best described as warm, caring, energetic, enthusiastic and always committed to working hard to make sure he achieves your desired outcome.
Yao is experienced in property Investment, Management and Residential Sales, selling nearly 80 properties in Auckland City over the past five years.

After working for 10 years in the property sector, Catherine now finds herself assisting the team at our Manukau office meeting your daily needs.
Catherine’s determination to provide top tier service with a friendly positive outlook allows her to ensure she provides the team with a constant base of support.
When not greeting and assisting you daily, Catherine spends her time at home by the beach with her fur babies and travelling.
After moving to New Zealand from South Africa two years ago, Juanita finished off her last two years at high school before joining the team at The Rent Shop.
Nita’s interested in property management and wants to learn all that she can from the helpful team in the city.
In her spare time Nita enjoys going on Road trips, photography and spending time with her two cats!
Kellie joined our Credit Control team after a year off as she couldn’t stay away from the industry! After spending 4 previous years in the industry at the front desk and assisting a Property Manager with arrears,property inspections, viewings and all things admin she believes she has a good knowledge of all things Property Management.
Kellie is currently completing her qualification in Residential Property Management (level 4) where she hopes to gain and further her knowledge in her current role as well as gaining knowledge of other roles within the industry.
In her spare time she practices her negotiation skills on her young son and husband as well as spending time with her friends and family taking bush walks and trips to the beach.
After traveling and living abroad for a few years Lilly has settled back into life back in Auckland. After many years working in Customer Excellence, Lilly has joined the Rent Shop Team looking for new and exciting challenges while still putting those skills to good use.

Monique has been in the Property Management industry for just over two years. She has a B.Design which shows her creative side along with organisational skills within her role.Monique always ensures customer service is at a high for their tenants, owners and creditors.
